This gentle serum is designed to bring balance to your skin. Handmade in small batches in the PNW to provide deep nourishing moisture to your skin at night. 

The Jojoba oil and meadowfoam seed in Artemis Night Serum work together to provide deep moisture without feeling greasy, but rather blends in beautifully to the skin. The juniper, fir, and frankincense work to clarify pores, restore order to the skin complexion, and leave you feeling like you just got an hour-long facial. 

We use a long, cold infusion method in order to preserve the integrity of the plant material and draw out the maximum healing effects.

Answers to frequently asked questions about Ma'at Balancing Serum .
What does it mean for a serum to be "balancing"? Plus

Juniper helps to balance the oils of your skin. Not only does this serum provide a glowing appearance at the time of application, but the juniper is working behind the scenes to help your skin oils come into great balance, clearing up issues like acne, oily skin, and the appearance of large pores.
How do Jojoba and Meadowfoam seed oils benefit the skin? Plus

Jojoba oil closely resembles human skin sebum, so it blends in seamlessly without feeling heavy or greasy. It provides an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory layer which can actually help to unclog pores.

Meadowfoam seeds provide a very stable oil that is similar to natural human skin sebum. It is generally accepted for being safe for all skin types. As an emollient, it provides deep moisture without feel greasy. This plant is native to Oregon, the birthplace of Rhea!

The gentleness of both of these oils make a perfect, safe base allowing the juniper to work its magic without drying the skin.
Will the botanical extracts in Ma'at help with acne or breakouts? Plus

The Juniper and Frankincense are both known for helping to clear up acne and the visibility of pores.

At Rhea we like to acknowledge that everyone is different. Your exact skin, environment, diet, and life situations are going to be unique to YOU. That is why we always recommend patch testing on a small section of skin first.

When looking to clear up things like acne, we recommend trying a product for at least two weeks (unless it is making your situation worse), so that your skin has time to adjust to new ingredients.
What is the "cold infusion" method used for this serum? Plus

Cold infusion means that we don’t use heat to infuse the oil with the plant material.

When heat is used, it can often release volatile compounds in plant material. Since we like for our infusions to be more gentler and safer for universal use, we opted for a cold infusion for the Ma’at Balancing Serum.

This infusion takes 3-6 weeks.
How should I incorporate Ma'at into my daily routine? Plus

We love to use the Hera Tallow Balm in the morning to really lock in moisture and provide that all-day dewy look. Then, we love to apply the Ma’at to the face at night before bed. This is a perfect time to let the juniper and frankincense get to work.
Is this serum suitable for all skin types? Plus

As always, we recommend doing a patch test on a small section of skin. Everyone is different, and your exact skin makeup and texture is going to be different than anyone else’s.

While this formula is very gentle, we don’t recommend using it if you have very sensitive skin. The Juniper is an incredibly healing properties for our skin, but it can often overload very sensitive skin.

For sensitive skin, we recommend the Artemis Night Serum.

    My face is loving it!

    The Ma'at Balancing Serum is an amazing product! It is simultaneously light, nourishing & refreshing at the same time. The scent is so unique and subtle , it melts into your skin. My face feels moisturized and firm all at once:) A+ on packaging . Cant wait for more thoughtfully crafted products from this company!
